Thousands attend Mansfield's Big Switch On

Jono Edwards and Miss Margo getting everyone into the party spirit with some crowd karaoke.

The Christmas Lights Switch On once again proved extremely popular as people poured into the town centre to celebrate the start of the festive season.

With entertainment happening through out the day people were treated to a Sunday to remember.

The festivities included a big stage show in the market place, which was hosted by Mansfield 103.2 and headlined by rapper Tinchy Stryder.

The Mansfield District Council event was kicked off by Mansfield Mayor Andy Abrahams and featured music from Luke Hingley, Ellie Butler, Jono Edwards and Miss Margo.

Santa from the Four Seasons also made an appearance alongside Jay Rowlinson from Mansfield BID.

It's estimate over 8 thousand people braved the cold to enjoy the festivities.
