A suspected drug dealer was arrested after police attended a report of domestic disturbance.
Officers attended an address in Southwell Road East, Rainworth, at 8.13pm on Sunday and soon caught sight of a man running from the property.
A suspect was detained a short time later and a container was recovered nearby containing what is believed to be crack cocaine.
A set of weighing scales and a quantity of cash were also recovered.
A 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply and was later released on police bail.
PC Adam Munnery, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“We attended this incident after receiving reports of a disturbance but soon found something we weren’t expecting.
“As a result, we’ve been able to take harmful drugs out of circulation and detain a criminal suspect.
“As our investigation into this matter continues, we are keen to hear from anyone who has relevant information that may assist our investigation.”
