Stags prepare for League Cup 4th Round draw

Mansfield progressed into the 4th round of the competition for the first time since 1975 on Tuesday evening after beating Peterborough United on penalties.

The draw for the fourth round of the competition will take place this evening (August 27) following the conclusion of Newcastle's third round tie with Man City.

The draw is expected to take place around 10.20pm.

It's only the second time in Mansfield Town's history that they have reached this stage of the competition with the team remaining unbeaten this season.

Last nights game at the One Call Stadium finished 2 - 2 at full time with both Stags goals coming from the penalty spot. .

Nigel Clough's men claimed victory in a nail biting shoot out that finished 3 - 1.

The next round of matches will take place week commencing October 30th.
