Mansfield Paralympian is ready for Paris

In an interview with Mansfield 103.2 Charlotte Henshaw says she can't wait to go for gold again in the paracanoe.

This will be Charlotte's 5th Paralympic games and her second in a boat after starting her sports career in swimming before making a switch.

She won gold in Tokyo in the KL2 class and in 2024 she took her World Championship title tally to ten at the 2024 World Championships in Szeged, Hungary, winning KL2 and VL3 gold

Charlotte will be competing in both classes in Paris, the heats for both the VL3 and KL2 take place on Friday 6th September.

She awarded a MBE for her services to canoeing in the 2022 New Year Honours.

This Mansfield 103.2's Managing Director Tony Delahunty spoke to Charlotte ahead of the games for Ian Watkins' Afternoon Show. You can listen to that interview below.
