Mansfied leisure centres invite you to come and enjoy a Big Open Weekend

More Leisure Community Trust’s Big Open Weekend event will be held at three Mansfield leisure centres this Saturday and Sunday – two days of free and discounted sport, fitness and fun activities for the whole family to enjoy.

Activities will include free gym tasters and fitness classes, low impact circuits classes, discounted climbing and more.

The three centres taking part over the two days are: Oak Tree Leisure Centre, Rebecca Adlington Swimming Centre, and Water Meadows Swimming and Fitness Complex.

Jack Garner, Contract Manager for More Leisure Community Trust said:

“The Big Open Weekend is back! All our leisure centres across Mansfield are offering a whole host of free and discounted sport, fun and fitness sessions for the whole community to enjoy.

“Many local families are struggling right now, as the cost-of-living crisis continues to bite, so why not visit one of our centres for a weekend of active fun that won’t break the bank.

“Our websites have a full list of what’s on offer at each centre. Some stuff you can just roll up and try, while other sessions you need to book. We look forward to seeing you for our Big Open Weekend!”

Portfolio Holder for Environment and Leisure, Councillor Andy Burgin, said:

“This is a perfect opportunity for our residents to come down and see what fantastic facilities are on their doorstep, free of charge. Keeping fit and healthy is important not just for physical wellbeing but mental wellbeing too.

“I hope everyone will take up the chance to make the most of discounted sport, fitness and fun activities for the whole family to enjoy.”

More Leisure Community Trust operates three centres in partnership with Serco Leisure and on behalf of Mansfield District Council.
