Like any town Mansfield over the decades has experienced an evolving landscape and economic shifts,
Jephsons Shopfitters is acutely aware of the challenges faced by the community.
Recent news headlines highlight the startling reality that more individuals than ever rely on food banks for everyday essentials that some take for granted.
Over the past decade, an additional 2 million people have turned to food banks, including hardworking adults struggling with food poverty. It is a poignant reminder of the impact the ongoing cost of living crisis has on local families, a crisis that is poised to persist into 2024.
Wayne Stringfellow, Sales and Marketing Director at Jephsons Shopfitters, Mansfield, shared his thoughts on the matter, saying, "It's heartening to see people's generosity shine through during this season, as they reach out to those in need by picking up an extra present for donation or contributing more to their local food banks. This compassionate spirit has ignited a spark within us and we are trading in the company’s Nectar points for essential food items to hand over to the Mansfield Woodhouse food bank on Thursday, December 14th 2023".
As 2023 draws to a close, Jephsons Shopfitters looks forward to a new year that will undoubtedly be filled with more community engagement.
