The first open event of the academic year will take place this month at West Nottinghamshire College’s Mansfield town centre campus.
On Thursday 28 September, the Mansfield and Ashfield Sixth Form Centre will open its doors for those who are interested in studying A-Levels. The open event will run from 5.30-7.30pm at the centre on Chesterfield Road (NG19 7BB).
Visitors can find out more about the courses available as well as meet the tutors and get a glimpse of college life at the town-centre campus. Current students will be at the event to give their insights into student life and to talk about the range of activities available as an A-Level student.
College support teams such as the careers team, health and wellbeing teams, additional learning support specialists and the financial support team will be available to answer questions.
The college offers 21 A-Level subjects and students can choose to study one of the two BTEC (vocational) courses alongside two A-Levels, which are sport and exercise science and criminology. There’s also the option to study Applied Science with Forensics at the sixth form centre.
There is no parking available at this campus so visitors should park at one of the nearby pay and display car parks.
