Appeal for witnesses after 92-year-old man is assaulted

We are appealing for witnesses and information after a 92-year-old man was assaulted in Clay Cross last month.

The incident occurred between 11am and 12noon on 31 August when the man was sat on a bench at the bus station.

He was then approached by a group of four youths who grabbed him, lifted him over the bench and dropped him on the floor. He suffered injuries to his chest in the incident.

Derbyshire police are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the incident as well as anyone else with any information.

If you can help with their investigation please contact them on 101 using the reference 24000551758.

You can also anonymously contact the independent charity CrimeStoppers, on 0800 555 111.
