Open Door is a committed team of people who have worked in dementia services for many years. We formed to provide a service to people who suffer from the effects of early stage memory loss (dementia).

We fully understand that living with a memory problem is not easy. It can strike at any time and any age and we know how challenging this can be.

Our services are not just for those who suffer from memory impairment, we encourage carers and family members to join our self-help groups, where all aspects of living and coping with dementia can be discussed. The group offers a place where you can find support and share concerns.

Our aim is to provide information, help and support to everyone to the best of our ability and to provide assistance in all aspects.

We aim to reduce stress and the sense of social isolation by raising awareness of dementia within the community. We offer our group members opportunities to take part in social activities as well as being included in the decision-making process of how we develop as a service. This is achieved by providing social events and activities to encourage carers and family members to participate.
